Turtle Crossing on Cypress Drive Turtles by the hundreds come out of the lake every spring during April and May to lay their eggs. It's quite interesting to watch them dig the holes and deposit their eggs that hatch out the following February.

 

Graceful Ghost Steamboat http://www.uncertain-tx.com/gracefulghost/index.html A replicated 1890's steam paddlewheeler plies Caddo's tunnel-like boat roads on a 90-minute narrated tour nine months out of the year. The Graceful Ghost berths at Shady Glade and also passes by our cottages on their trips in and out.

 

Caddo Lake State Park http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/spdest/findadest/parks/caddo_lake/ Caddo Lake State Park is located five miles away on FM 2198 in Karnack and offers a fishing pier, swimming, boating, hiking, nature trails, birding and interpretive center.
